IRVINGTON, NY — The first day of school may be closer than you think. So, it’s time to dust off those backpacks and make some plans. To help, here are some important dates noted in the Irvington Union Free School District Calendar:
- Superintendent’s Conference Day: August 30-31
- Labor Day (school closed): Sept. 4
- First day of school: Sept. 5
- Rosh Hashanah (school closed): Sept. 21-22
- Columbus Day (school closed): Oct. 9
- Superintendent’s Conference Day: Oct. 10
- Delayed Opening, Professional Development: Nov. 1
- Veterans Day (school closed): Nov. 10
- Early Dismissal: Nov. 22
- Thanksgiving (school closed): Nov. 23-24
- Early dismissal: Dec. 22
- Holiday recess: Dec. 25-Jan. 1 (school resumes Jan. 2)
- Martin Luther King Jr. holiday (school closed): Jan. 15
- Delayed Opening, Professional Development: Jan. 16
- Early Release, Professional Development: Feb. 9
- President's Day, Mid-winter recess: Feb. 19-23
- Superintendent’s Conference Day: March 5
- Spring recess: March 30-April 6
- Early Dismissal, Professional Development: April 27
- Memorial Day recess (school closed): May 25-28
- Early release: June 15, 19-21
- Last day of school: June 21
