3 Cars Involved In Crash After Car Jumps Guardrail

County police said the incident is still under investigation.

DOBBS FERRY, NY — A car jumped a guardrail on the Saw Mill River Parkway and six people were injured in the resulting crash Monday. The crash occurred around 6:50 p.m. near the intersection with Lawrence Street.

At least three cars were in the accident, and at least one person was taken to the hospital, the Journal News said.

The Westchester County Police Department said on its Facebook page that it was assisted by the Dobbs Ferry police and fire departments, Greenburgh Police Department paramedics and EMS personnel from Irvington, Ardsley and Dobbs Ferry.

Police said one of the vehicles went airborne and flipped over the guardrail. Photos taken from the scene show varying amounts of damage, ranging from a dented driver's side of one car to an completely destroyed windshield of another.

The crash remains under investigation, police said.
