40-Year-Old Westchester Man Indicted In Case Involving The Rape, Sexual Abuse Of A Young Child

"The facts laid out in this indictment are nothing short of shocking," DA Cacace said, announcing the six-count felony indictment.

YONKERS, NY — A Westchester man accused of "shocking" crimes against a child will be prosecuted "to the full extent of the law," according to the DA's office.

Westchester County District Attorney Susan Cacace announced that 40-year-old Josue Samuel Cabrera, of Yonkers, was arraigned on Tuesday, on a six-count indictment charging him with two counts of predatory sexual assault against a child, two counts of first-degree rape, and two counts of first-degree sexual abuse. He was remanded without bail.

The felony charges are related to his alleged rape and sexual abuse of a child under the age of 13 years old in Yonkers last month.

"The facts laid out in this indictment are nothing short of shocking," DA Cacace said. "I am thankful for the swift arrest of this predator and promise to prosecute this case to the full extent of the law. Protecting our most vulnerable citizens will always be our office’s top priority."

This incident was investigated by the Yonkers Police Department, and the case is being prosecuted by Child and Elder Abuse Bureau Chief Owein Levin.
