Archbishop Stepinac football senior off-tackle Christos Aliozos, who is from Ardsley, has just returned from a recruiting trip to Western Illinios. He has committed to Western Illinios to play football there next year and will leave in July.

The Western Illinios Leathernecks play in the Missouri Valley Football Conference in 1-AA. Chris is 6-foot-4, 305 pounds and was a two-year starter for the Crusaders.

Chris' dad played football at Miami University.

Track & Field

Irvington's Marley Giddins placed eighth in Division 2 in the girls long jump in the first day of the New York State Outdoor Track and Field Championships on June 8 at Cicero-North Syracuse High School according to LoHud.com.

On the boys side, Irvington's Victor Yan was tied for 18th in the pole vault in the Federation meet.

Youth Football

The below was taken from the Dobbs Ferry Youth Football website:

The Dobbs Ferry Youth Football program will be hosting a Tackling Academy to help players with proper tackling techniques. It is being presented by Football University & is free of charge.
The tackling clinic will be taking place:

Saturday, June 23rd
Dobbs Ferry HIgh School

Coaches classes take place from 9:00AM -  10:30AM
Players
 classes take from 11AM - 1:00PM. (Coaches will be present to implement what they learned in the morning class session)
