Eight-Week Water Main Work Begins In Hastings, Reducing Warburton Ave To One Lane: Village

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, NY — The Village of Hastings announced that Warburton Avenue would be cut down to one lane for the next eight weeks as construction crews from Veolia Water COmpany performed work to install a new water main in the center of the road.

Per the village, the work will take place between the gas station at 339 Warburton Ave. and Rowley's Bridge. Following the completion of that work, crews will tie the main into the existing water system in two places and transfer residential water service to the new main, village officials said.

To make room for that work, village officials said Warburton Avenue would be reduced to one lane of traffic with no parking on either side of the street between the gas station and the bridge.

As for the residents whose water service may be impacted during construction, village officials said Veolia would be sending out advanced notice before any interruptions occur or any work occurs that could cause such disruptions.
