UPDATE: Ardsley Woman Who Died in Yonkers Car Crash Was a Nun

She was a passenger in the car that was struck on Saturday on Central Park Avenue.

ARDSLEY, NY — The 81-year-old woman who was killed because of a Yonkers car crash Saturday was a member of the Dominican Sisters and taught in several Westchester County schools before retiring.

Sister Monica Masterson was the passenger in a car with Sister John Agnes Clancy, who teaches at maria Regina High School, the Journal News said. Masterson was taken to Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville where she was pronounced dead.

Clancy was treated for minor injuries from the accident that occurred Central Park Avenue.

ARDSLEY, NY — The woman who was killed Saturday in a Yonkers car crash was an Ardsley resident.

The 81-year-old, who has not been named pending notification of relatives, was a passenger in the two-vehicle crash that happened around 11 a.m. at 2550 Central Park Ave., the Journal News said.

The car she was traveling in seems to have been turning into a shopping center when it was struck.
