Astorino Asking County For $9.8M For Pool At Sprain Ridge Park
It is hoped the pool reconstruction will be completed for summer 2018.

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, NY — Westchester County Executive Robert P. Astorino has sent legislation to the Board of Legislators proposing the $9.8 million construction of a competition pool at Sprain Ridge Park, completing renovations of its water park complex. He said the county continues to invest in its parks and pools because they are integral to the quality of life that makes Westchester an attractive place to live, work and raise a family.
“This summer, we opened the spray ground, giant kiddie pool and bathhouses. Next summer, the recreation and lap pool will complete this state-of-the-art facility. The final result is lots of fun at Sprain Ridge this summer and even more next year,” Astorino said. Astorino introduced this legislation so that the pool reconstruction can be completed for the Summer 2018 season. The project design is already underway, a spokesman said. Once design is completed, the county will request bids for the construction phase of the pool. Construction is expected to take nine months.
