Celtic Corner Celebrates St. Patrick's Day Saturday

The highlight of the menu is Irish beef stew flavored with Guinness.

St. Patrick's Day will be celebrated on Saturday, March 16 at Celtic Corner in Dobbs Ferry this year with special dishes, live bagpipe music, Irish step dancers, song and souvenirs while they last. Although the official date for the holiday is Sunday, March 17, Celtic Corner celebrates a day early because many parades take place on the 17th.

"The Irish beef stew will be laced with Guinness on Saturday," promises proprietor Rich Doyle.

The festivities begin at noon and last deep into the night. No reservations will be accepted. The musical entertainment will commence late in the afternoon.

A special St. Patrick's Day menu includes:

  • Shepherd's Pie
  • Fish and chips
  • Corn beef and cabbage
  • Irish beef stew, flavored with Guinness and more

"Give-aways" will be provided by beer companies and likely will include T-shirts and hats.
