Westchester Jazz Orchestra Milestone Concert

Wow, the Westchester Jazz Orchestra (WJO), together with special guest Paquito D'Rivera, gave an electrifying performance Saturday night at the historic Tarrytown Music Hall that brought the audience to its feet in thunderous applause. The concert brought to a climax the WJO's hard-to-believe 10th season.

The ensemble, comprising a group of gifted musicians led by artistic director Mike Holober, has unquestionably emerged as a world-class group attracting the likes of the renowned Paquito. Indeed, jazz lovers like me have much to cheer about because the WJO, that began as an idea only a decade ago, is a part of our community. Kudos to Executive Director Emily Tabin and the WJO's growing numbers of fans and supporters who have turned this dream into a reality.
