Get ready for one of Westchester’s biggest celebrations of the year! The Yonkers Downtown/Waterfront BID and the City of Yonkers, Mayor Mike Spano, will host the annual Yonkers Riverfest on Saturday, September 19, from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A longtime community tradition, Riverfest brings residents and visitors together each year to celebrate music, culture, and community along the Hudson River waterfront. Thousands of attendees are expected to enjoy a day of live music, delicious food, local vendors, arts and crafts, family-friendly activities, and more. Lisa Lisa headlines this year’s festival, with DJ Frankie Cutlass, The Lady Gaga Experience featuring Haus Of Monsters, and a diverse lineup of performers taking the stage throughout the day. The festival is free and open to all ages.

Join BridgeMusik for JS Bach Chamber Hour — Timeless Voices, an evening of chamber music presented as part of the BridgeMusik Summer Festival 2026: We the Music — Celebrating 250 Years of American Voices.
This special Chamber Hour concert celebrates the enduring legacy of Johann Sebastian Bach, whose music continues to inspire musicians and audiences across generations. Performed by BridgeMusik Festival students and faculty, the program showcases Bach's timeless artistry through a variety of chamber music and solo works presented in the intimate setting of the OLSH Little Chapel.
Blending mentorship and performance, the concert reflects one of BridgeMusik's core values: bringing together emerging musicians and experienced artists in meaningful artistic collaboration. Through Bach's music, audiences will experience the beauty, clarity, and expressive power that have made his works a cornerstone of the classical repertoire for more than three centuries.
This concert is part of Student Festival Week, where young musicians work alongside leading performers and educators in an immersive environment focused on artistic growth, chamber music, and community.
Inspired by the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States, this year's festival explores the rich tapestry of American musical life through the works of American composers, jazz innovators, and immigrant artists who helped shape the nation's cultural identity.
Festival highlights include Stravinsky's The Soldier's Tale at the Nyack Center on August 1–2, the world premiere of Dedication to Faust by Thomas Cabaniss, a newly commissioned work created and performed by The Dolphins Quartet, free Chamber Hour library concerts, student performances, and collaborations between emerging musicians and professional artists.
The festival continues through August 16 with concerts, community performances, educational programs, and special events celebrating American musical voices across generations.

The Armour-Stiner Octagon House

This year, the Armour-Stiner Octagon House in Irvington, New York will commemorate the 250th Anniversary of The United States with a special guided tour: The Octagon House: 1876 Centennial Tour.
Tours cost $34 and run at 11:30, 1:00, 2:30 PM and 4:00 PM.
100 years before it became a wealthy New York City suburb, Westchester County was once a lawless “neutral ground” during the height of the American Revolution. In this one-hour guided tour, visitors will hear a brief history of the 18th Century Odell Farm where The Octagon House now stands.
As we enter the Octagon House, guests experience how New Yorkers of The Gilded Age once celebrated the Nation’s Centennial of 1876. On display throughout the house will be a delightful collection of antique Centennial souvenirs &amp; ephemera. This was a time of great entrepreneurial innovation, design and manufacturing. The Centennial Exhibition in Philadelphia was a magnificent display or wares by the finest manufacturers of the era.
Visitors will enjoy the ornate interior of The Octagon House, which is decorated with antique lighting, furniture, &amp; objects – many of which appeared at the 1876 Centennial Exhibition.
PLEASE NOTE
The Octagon House is a privately owned home and active residence. All visitors to the property must purchase tickets and tour with a guide. Tours are recommended for ages 7+ and include three flights of stairs, and are therefore not suitable for wheelchair users, those with limited mobility, or those who struggle to stand for extended periods of time.”

The Yonkers Downtown/Waterfront Business Improvement District is excited to once again bring the Yonkers waterfront to life with an exciting season of live music, cultural celebration, and community gatherings through the return of Yonkers Waterfront Live. The annual concert series will take place rain or shine, Friday nights from June 5 through August 14, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Waterfront Amphitheater, located at 71 Water Grant Street in Yonkers.
