Our fall Vintage and Craft Sale at the Palisades Community Center located at 675 Oak Tree Road, in Palisades, NY Sept 18  5-9pm &amp; Sept 19  9am-3pmOur historic schoolhouse will be filled with wonderful treasures and artisan crafts. Something for everyone!On Saturday, outside will be our Palisades Farm Stand 9am-1pm, featuring West Song Farm.  Heirloom tomatoes, beans, squash, garlic, onions, pickled veggies, beautiful flowers and more.

The Armour-Stiner Octagon House

This year, the Armour-Stiner Octagon House in Irvington, New York will commemorate the 250th Anniversary of The United States with a special guided tour: The Octagon House: 1876 Centennial Tour.
Tours cost $34 and run at 10:00, 11:30, 1:00, 2:30 PM and 4:00 PM.
100 years before it became a wealthy New York City suburb, Westchester County was once a lawless “neutral ground” during the height of the American Revolution. In this one-hour guided tour, visitors will hear a brief history of the 18th Century Odell Farm where The Octagon House now stands.
As we enter the Octagon House, guests experience how New Yorkers of The Gilded Age once celebrated the Nation’s Centennial of 1876. On display throughout the house will be a delightful collection of antique Centennial souvenirs &amp; ephemera. This was a time of great entrepreneurial innovation, design and manufacturing. The Centennial Exhibition in Philadelphia was a magnificent display or wares by the finest manufacturers of the era.
Visitors will enjoy the ornate interior of The Octagon House, which is decorated with antique lighting, furniture, &amp; objects – many of which appeared at the 1876 Centennial Exhibition.
PLEASE NOTE
The Octagon House is a privately owned home and active residence. All visitors to the property must purchase tickets and tour with a guide. Tours are recommended for ages 7+ and include three flights of stairs, and are therefore not suitable for wheelchair users, those with limited mobility, or those who struggle to stand for extended periods of time.”

Join us for a special screening of Reverse the Curse, a film written, directed, and starring David Duchovny, based on his novel Bucky F*ing Dent.
Reverse the Curse tells the story of a son’s efforts to reconcile with his sick father by orchestrating a winning streak for his beloved Boston Red Sox. It’s a film about the complexities of life, loss, hope and baseball through the lens of a father-son relationship.
Following the screening, there will be a Q&amp;A moderated by journalist Alex Barron, as well as a book signing with David Duchovny. Books will be available to purchase in advance or at the event, provided by Transom Bookshop.

David Duchovny is an award-winning actor, director, writer, and singer-songwriter whose career spans television, film, literature, and music. He is best known for his iconic performances as FBI Agent Fox Mulder in The X-Files and writer Hank Moody in Californication, both of which earned him Golden Globe Awards. His film work includes Kalifornia, Return to Me, Evolution, The Joneses, What Happens Later, and The X-Files films, among others. He has also directed the films House of D and Reverse the Curse, the latter adapted from his novel Bucky F*cking Dent, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.
A graduate of Princeton University and Yale University, Duchovny is also a New York Times bestselling author. His books include the novels Holy Cow, Bucky F*cking Dent, Miss Subways, and Truly Like Lightning, the novella The Reservoir, and the poetry collection About Time. As a musician, he has released four studio albums and tours as a singer-songwriter. He is also the host of the podcast Fail Better.
Alex Barron covers movies, television and internet culture as an audio producer at The New York Times. His career spans journalism, audio and theater, with past work for WNYC’s The New Yorker Radio Hour, Audible, Parallel, New York Theater Workshop and Playwrights Horizons. He began his professional career in theater as a literary manager and dramaturg, working with organizations including Manhattan Theatre Club, MCC Theater and the Sundance Institute.

We are dedicated to continuing Ed’s work in sharing the skill, health and mindfulness benefits of Tai Chi with our community.

Pianist Wu Han, violinist Philip Setzer, and cellist David Finckel opened our 71st season and they are back, renowned for their exceptional chamber music performances. Audiences will recall Finckel and Setzer's long tenure with the legendary Emerson Quartet. Han and Finckel lead the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and the Music@Menlo chamber music festival in the San Francisco Bay area. Their all-Schubert program includes the Piano Trio No.1 in Bb Major, Op.99 and the Piano Trio No. 2 in Eb Major, Op.100. Socialize and meet the artists at our post-concert reception.

Held at Silver Pro Music, a glitsy recording studio and event venue in Hartsdale, the evening includes a professional performance, a cocktail hour and fine spirit tasting, mystic readings, prizes and a tasting menu of Peruvian Latin fusion cuisine. The night wraps up with a DJ’d dance party below the disco lights.
