'Chopped Junior' Champ from Dobbs Ferry to Be Honored at Town Hall

A Dobbs Ferry Middle School student will be honored by the Greenburgh Town Board Wednesday, Feb. 10.

Elizabeth Oakes, a seventh grader, recently competed on the Food Network program “Chopped Junior,” said Supervisor Paul Feiner, and was crowned national champion.

Oakes said being on the competition cooking show was a dream of hers since she watched the program for the first time at age 5.

The Dobbs Ferry resident said she has dreams of becoming a celebrity chef and owning a restaurant.

Greenburgh Town Hall is located at 177 Hillside Ave. in Greenburgh.
