Christine Ji Woo Kang Still Missing: Center for Missing and Exploited Children Joins Search

Kang boarded a Metro-North train on Jan. 2, and surveillance video shows her at Grand Central in Manhattan, her last known location.

The national Center for Missing and Exploited Children has joined the search for 16-year-old Greenburgh resident Christine Ji Woo Kang who has been missing since Jan. 2.

Kang ran away from her home in the Edgemont section of Scarsdale following an argument with her parents. She boarded a Metro-North train from the Scarsdale station that night, and surveillance video shows her at Grand Central in Manhattan, her last known location.

She has not been in contact with her family and has not been heard from since.

The Journal News reports that information about Kang has been added to the organization’s national database to aid in the search.

“The longer she’s out there, the more vulnerable she is to victimization,” Robert Lowery, vice president of the missing children division for the center, told The Journal News.
