Luca Ameri of Hackley and Wesleyan, at the opening track meet of the indoor season at Yale, finished 23rd of 67 in the men's 400, with a time of 52.14.

At Brown on January 7th, Jordon Bronner of New Hampshire tied for game high with 23 points, plus having 2 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 steals in the 72-68 loss to the Bears, while at Binghamton on the 9th, he had 6 points on a trey and 5-6 at the foul stripe, as the Wildcats' record lost , 67-38, with the record now 2-13.

In a home game with the U. of New England on January 9th, the Salve Regina women's basketball squad lost a nail biting 79-78 game to the Nor'easterners , with Lisa Bucci going 2-4 at the foul stripe and having 1 assist in the game.With Gordon on the 11th, she scored 3 points, had 4 boards,1 assist,1steal, and 1 block, with the record now 5-7:3-3.

At Yale on January 8th, the Vermont Catamounts won over their hosts, 67-59, with Sandro Carissimo 2nd high in scoring with 14 points, the result of 3 layups, 1 trey, and 5-6 at the courtesy line, plus having a game high of 8 rebounds, 1 block, and 1 steal, while hosting Albany on the 11th in the 68-28 win over the Great Danes, had tied for a game high of 13 points, had 1 three treys, 2 foul points, 1 board, 2 blocks and 2 steals in the game, with the record now 8-8:2-0.

in a 67-54 loss at Middlebury on January 10th, Allie Coppola of Bates had 4 points on a field goal and 2-2 in foul tries, plus 5 rebounds  in the game, with the record now 7-6:01.

In a 58--56 squeaker loss at Bowdoin on January 10th,

Tara Gabelman of Connecticut College had still another double-double game, as she had a game high of 26 points and her 9 boards were another double-double. At Colby on the 11the, she had 6 points, 3 rebounds,  and 1 assist in the 72-67 win, with the record now 8-1:1-1.

In a 74-63 win over hosts Rhode Island College on January 7th, Marley Giddins of Amherst had a layup, 4 boards, and a block in the game, while hosting Hamilton on the 10th,she scored 9 points, and had 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block and 1 steel in the 60-35 rout. In another home contest with Williams on the 12th, a 78-62 victory, she had 13 points, 6 boards, 3 assists, and 1 steal, with the record now 13-0:2-0.

At home with the Binghamton Bearcats on January 10th,

the Columbia Lions' wrestling squad topped their guests, 24-9, with Penn Gottfried losing his 125 match by a decision, 6-2.

In an invitational swim meet at home, Washington of St. Louis were the winners, with 528 points, and Tina Hinman of Masters and the home squad finishing 4th in the women's 3 meter diving, with 315.05 points

Jesse Gourevitch of Ardsley and Carleton College,

in a swim meet at Gustavus Adolphus on January 10th, in the men's Medley Relay, had his quartet finish 3rd, clocked at 1:43, while on the 11th, at home with St. Johns in the 145-135 win, his 200 Medley Relay foursome were 3rd in `:40:31. He was 2nd in the 100 Breastsroke, with a clocking of 1:02.78, and also 2nd in the 200 Breastroke, timed at 2:20.55, and 9th in the Individual Medley, in 2:3.82,

In a 181-116 loss at Yale on January 7th and 8th, Manita Ferguson of Cornell finished 1st in 3 meter diving, with 284.39 points, and was 2nd in 1 meter diving, with 271.04 points. Hosting Colgate on the 11th, in a 160-123 win, Manita was first in the women's 3 meter diving event, with 254.17 points, while sister Bianca was next, with 229.71 points. Manita also took the 1 meter laurels, with 246.59 points, while Bianca was next, with 235.42 points.

In a 6-1 win over visiting Assumption on January 7th, Craig Halpin of Fitchburg State assisted on their final score of the night, coming at the 6:51 mark of the 3rd period. The Falcon's record is now 6-7:3-3.

At home with Siena on January 7th, Marist outscored the Saints, 78-60, with Brittni Lai having 1 layup, 2 boards, 3 assists, and 2 steals in the win, while at Fairfield on the 11th, she had 2 foul points and 1 steal in the 60-38 runaway win, with the record now 13-4.

At Army on January 8th, the Lehigh Mountain Hawks lost to the Cadets, 74-63, with Lexi Martins of the visitors scoring 7 points on a basket and 5-6 in foul attempts, plus having 1

board in the game, while hosting Loyola of Baltimore on the 11th, she  scored had 1 layup,and 1 block in the 70-69 loss, with the record now  8-7:1-3..

At California's Pomona-Pitzer College on January 7th,

the Wheaton College women's swim team was defeated by their hosts, 226-60, with Cara Morris of the Lyons and her 200 Medley Relay team finishing 3rd in their race with a time of 1:54.38. She was 6th in the 100 Butterfly, clocked at  1:08.86, 7th in the 50 Butterfly, timed at 29:04, and her 200 Freestyle Relay quartet were 2nd in their heat, at 1:43.82. In a three school meet at Mt. Holyoke with Clark on the 10th, her team topped Mt. Holyoke, 121-110, Clark,

169-45, and lost to Trinity, 141-82.

In a non-scoring mini-meet at Bucknell, Claire Murphy of Lafayette finished 6th in the Pole Vault with her highest height reaching 10'4".

In a 60-42 loss at home with Oneonta on January 11th, Ashley Riefenhauser of New Paltz scored 9 points,  and had 2 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal in the game, with the record now 2-9:0-4.

In a swim meet at Cornell on January 11th, Tavy Smith of the Colgate team and his 200 Meter Relay quarter finished 4th, with a time of 1:36.44, he was 3rd in the 100 Breaststroke, clocked at 1:02.80, 2nd in the 200 Breaststroke, a 2:24.68, while his 400 Freestyle Relay foursome were 5th, in 4:44.54.
