sophomore center fielder Jamie Bucci of Sleepy Hollow and Cortland State batted 2-2, scored 2 runs, had 2 r.b.i.’s, and stole a base in the Red Dragon’s 4-0 blanking of Coastal Carolina on March 9th, while in the second  game with Marietta, a 4-1 triumph, she had 1 r.b.i and made 1 putout.

In the first of 2 games with Gardner -Webb at home on March 5th, Andrea Abbatiello of Furman batted 0-1, walked, fanned, and had 1 stolen base in the 2-1 win over the Runnin’ Bulldogs.  In game 2, she went 0-1 and left 1 runner on base in the 8 inning 3-2 win. With Coastal Carolina on the 9th, she was in right field, went 0-4 at bat and fanned twice.

At Boston U. on March  8th, Luca Ameri of Wesleyan and his 4 x 400 relay quartet won their race.

At home with Adrian on March 5th, Jake Bernard of the College of Wooster scored 1 goal, had 1 assist, and 1 turnover in the 11-7 win over the Bulldogs.

Danny Crowe of Elon saw action off the bench in left field in the 5-2 win over Minnesota on March 7th, while on the 8th with Coastal Carolina , in the 3-1 win, he played off the bench in left, and in the second game with U.M.B.C, he did the same in the 3-1 win.  

Alex Eisenberg of Ardsley a sophomore pitcher for Hofstra, saw action in a game with the University of the Incarnation in San Antonio on March 6th, but was not involved in the decision.

In the NCAA Northeast Regionals fencing championship,

Audra Fox of N.Y.U. placed 16th of 45 in the foil competition.

Jake Hymowitz of Guilford’s lacrosse team saw action in his team’s 12-5 win over Farmingdale on March 5th.

In Oneonta’s 9-0 loss at Colgate, Michael Kennelly of the Red Dragons lost his singles match, 6-2,6-4, while he and his doubles partner dropped their’s, 8-0

At Alvernia on March 6th, Liam McHugh of Ardsley and The College of Mt. St. Vincent  had 3 give backs in the lacrosse team’s 7-6 win over their hosts.

A Clermont , Floriday on March 9th, the Russell Sage softball team opened the Spring season with  a 6-2  win over Bentley, as Jennifer Onwe of Sleepy Hollow went 0-3, walked once and fanned  once, while in the nightcap with Simmons, they were 1 hit and  lost, 10-1.

At Myrtle Beach on March 3rd, the Johnson and Wales

baseball team opened the Spring season with a 5-1 win over The College of Staten Island, as shortstop Alex Pezzuto of Hastings batted 2-5 and had 3 putouts and 6 assists at his position, while against the Manhattanville Valiants  on the 4th, he went 2-3, had 2  r.b.i.s, walked once and had 3 assists at shortstop. In a  4-2 win over Muhlenberg on the 8th, he had 3-3 at bat, scored 1 run, had 2 putouts, and 4 assists .

Jon Pilla of the Belmont Abbey Crusaders batted 1-4, fanned once, and left one man on base in the team’s 4-3 win over the Catawba Indians on March 5th. With Erkine on the 7th, he went 0-4, fanned once, and left 1 on base in the 7-3 loss, and on the 8th with the same opponent, he batted 1-3, had1 r.b.i., struck out once, and left 2 on base in the 6-2 setback.

In a  twin bill with Nyack at Lantana on March 8th, the A.I.C. baseball team won both games, 3-2 and 9-2, with Eddie Ritch of Dobbs Ferry at 2nd base for the Yellow Jackets . On the 9th,  they split with Mercy, winning the first 7-0 and losing the nightcap, 4-2.
