Con Ed Work Ties Up Traffic in Dobbs Ferry

Work is expected to continue through the weekend.

Consolidated Edison has four trucks parked across from Gould park on Ashford Avenue in Dobbs Ferry to replace a broken pole and upgrade the electrical wires in the vicinity, said company spokesman Michael Clendenin

Though there are workers directing traffic, the delays in either direction were up to 15 minutes today, but work is expected to stop before the evening commute.

Job Supervisor Paul Katchen said the project is expected to resume on Monday and  last, "a couple of days." Workers will be on site from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
