Cops: Ardsley Man Caught Breaking into Cars in Peekskill

PEEKSKILL, NY — An Ardsley man is under arrest in Peekskill after he was caught hiding in a car at the Hillcrest Park Condominiums, the Peekskill Daily Voice reported. An alert resident called police to report two people looking into cars.

Shane Oglesby, 20, faces a charge of criminal mischief. Peekskill Police Chief Eric Johansen said police were able to connect him to four other damaged cars, according to the Daily Voice.

Johansen reminded residents to remove any valuables from plain sight and to lock their car doors. He also encouraged residents to call the police if they see anything suspicious.
