Coyote Sighted Near Hastings' Hillside Elementary

A coyote was sighted at Hillside Elementary School in Hastings earlier today, April 27, according to school officials.

Students were kept inside for recess and never in any danger. Coyotes have been spotted in Hastings before, as reported by Patch in 2013.

Local police and animal control were notified and responded to the school Monday, but the coyote ran off and as of this afternoon, has not been captured.
