Saw Mill River Road Closure to Affect Evening Commute

UPDATE: Greenburgh Police issued an update about the morning's crash on Route 9A.

Saw Mill River Road is closed in both directions just south of Secor Road in the Village of Ardsley. The closure is due to a motor vehicle accident (car into utility pole) with significant damage to the utility pole. Con Edison has advised that the road will likely remain closed until 6:00pm. Please avoid the area if possible or use alternate routes.

Route 9A in Ardsley has been closed north and southbound. The cause is an accident with a downed utility pole and wires. Route 9A could be closed for up to 12 hours, transportation officials said.

The closure is between Secor Road to the north and Revolutionary Road at the south end. Revolutionary Road runs between 9A and Heatherdell Road.
