Dobbs Ferry Bridge Rehab Will Cause Road Closings
Work will be done on the Ashford Avenue Bridge.
From Town of Greenburgh Supervisor Paul Feiner:
ASHFORD AVENUE BRIDGE REHABILITATION PROJECT
The Westchester County Department of Public Works and Transportation has advised the Village of Dobbs Ferry that on Thursday, February 25th, weather permitting, construction will begin with modifications to the sidewalk on the north side of the bridge so that one lane of traffic in each direction can fit when the south half of the bridge is demolished (beginning this summer). To accomplish this work, the westbound right lane will be closed from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays, until the work is completed, likely on Monday, February 29th. The north sidewalk will be closed during this work with pedestrians detoured onto the south sidewalk. Additional midday weekday lane closures in each direction of Ashford Avenue are expected in the coming weeks and, in several weeks, the long term northbound entrance and exit ramp closure will begin.
