"Somebody knew how to step up," Neil Abbatiello, Dobbs Ferry Head Coach, said of Addorisio.
And "step up" has been the motto of the Eagles stellar run throughout the playoffs from a Section One championship victory to success in Regionals.
"It's the makeup of this team," Abbatiello said.
Addorisio also came up big with a two-run homerun in the Eagles 5-1 Regional Semi-final victory over Highland earlier in the day that scored Hayley Bingham.
Eagle Pitcher Jacqueline Crews struckout six batters, walking one in seven innings pitched against the Huskies.
Highland's Jennifer D'Ercole had eight strikeouts, and walked one in seven innings pitched.
Crews also struck out nine and walked two in seven innings against the Lady Baymen.
"Jacqueline kept control of the circle," Abbatiello said. "It's what she does."
Oyster Bay's Kerri Apicella struck out 13 and walked one in seven innings.
The season continues for the Dobbs Ferry High School team to perform in the playoffs on Saturday at Waterloo High School against the Section five and Section Six winners.
The state semi-final game is slated for 11 a.m. on field two with the final held shortly after if the Eagles prevail.
