Elmsford Man Charged With Felony DWI
Troopers originally stopped him on the Thruway for traffic violations.

ELMSFORD, NY — An Elmsford man was arrested after being stopped while driving on I-287 in the Town of Greenburgh. State police said Alexander A. Ramos 37, of Elmsford was pulled over around 1:40 a.m. Jan. 12 for numerous traffic and vehicle violations.
He was found to be intoxicated, troopers said.
Ramos was taken to the Tarrytown barracks where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.21 percent.

He was also driving with a suspended license and was previously convicted of driving while intoxicated within the last 10 years.
As a result, he was charged with the following:

- Aggravated driving while intoxicated, a felony
- Aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor
- Multiple vehicle and traffic violations.
Ramos was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Greenburgh Court Jan. 22.
