Two For The Road: Christine Andreas Concert to Benefit Ability Beyond Disability

Broadway star Christine Andreas, in collaboration with her Grammy nominated husband composer Martin Silvestri, will perform in “TWO FOR THE ROAD”, a ‘well traveled’ musical recollection and personal scrapbook of musical souvenirs and memories collected over the years. Ms. Andreas’ beautiful and distinctive renditions of the American Songbook, Broadway Gems and Original Compositions have solicited rave reviews from audiences and critics worldwide, from Broadway to the Café Carlyle, from Carnegie Hall to the White House. Listen to their music on christineandreas.com.

Ms. Andreas has a son who lives with us at Ability Beyond Disability and she wanted to find a way to give back to the organization. All proceeds from this concert will benefit over 1,500 people in New York and Connecticut that Ability Beyond Disability helps each and every year.

Perhaps best known for her work on the Broadway stage, Christine Andreas burst onto the New York theatre scene starring as Eliza Doolittle in the 20th Anniversary production of My Fair Lady, garnering the Theatre World Award. Ms. Andreas most recently starred on Broadway as Jacqueline in the Tony Award-winning production of “La Cage Aux Folles”; she is the recipient of numerous awards and multiple Tony Award nominations. Ms. Andreas is thrilled to donate proceeds from “Two for the Road” to Ability Beyond Disability in an effort to help people like her son to build a better life and achieve their dreams.

The show’s opening act will feature Mike Sabath, a young man who has been raising money for Ability Beyond Disability through his music for the past few months. Mr. Sabath is a 7th grade student from Katonah, NY who wrote, composed and produced an original song titled “Hand in Hand”. Over 140 kids participated in the chorus of the song and Mike has raised nearly $5,000 by collecting donations through his own website and selling the song on other music sites such as iTunes.

Ability Beyond Disability is committed to helping people with disabilities live as independently as possible and helping each individual to achieve their dreams. We hope you will join us and help make a real difference in the lives of people with disabilities in your community.
