Family Of Man Who Died After Fight With Cops Files Lawsuit

Police had been called for a report of shoplifting.

GREENBURGH, NY — The family of a man who died during a scuffle with Greenburgh police have filed a federal wrongful death lawsuit. Named in the suit are the town and police and paramedics.

The family of Jonathan Maldonado, 21, is asking for more than $20 million in damages, lohud.com said.

Maldonado was the nephew of now Yonkers City Council President Mike Khader.
