Ferncliff Manor Awarded "Best Marching Unit - Junior Division"

Yonkers Avenue St. Patrick's Day Parade on McLean Avenue presents trophy to Ferncliff Manor.

Residents and students of Ferncliff Manor received a trophy for their "Best Marching Unit - Junior Division" title, won at the 61st Annual Yonkers St. Patrick's Day Parade on McLean Avenue held on March 19, 2016. Judged by the 2016 Parade Committee, the award will be presented by Vice Chair of the Parade Board, James J. Landy and Parade Co-Chair, Lawrence McCrudden. 2016 was Ferncliff Manor's 5th year in participation.

Founded in 1935, Ferncliff Manor is a private residential school that provides a full range of high quality educational, therapeutic and healthcare services to children and young adults with severe developmental disabilities, enabling each student to achieve an optimum level of well-being, independence and self-esteem.

The purpose of this parade is to honor St. Patrick, the patron Saint of Ireland and the Archdiocese of New York, as well as to celebrate the history, culture and tradition of the Irish throughout the city-wide community of Yonkers.
