More than 400 dogs enjoyed a dip in the pool at A.F. Veteran Park on Sunday at Greenburgh's annual swim exclusively for canines.The popular event, which cost $5 per dog, benefits the Friends of East Rumbrook Dog Park. Dogs were allowed to roam the grounds from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and swim in the E and F pools near the park's entrance. Both of these composers approached the string quartet form with reverence and some intimidation, with the examples of Haydn and Beethoven looming over them. Brahms is said to have thrown over 20 string quartets into the fireplace before settling on this “No. 1,” and Prokofiev composed his “2nd” while an evacuee from Moscow as Nazi air raids bombarded the city.
