Hastings Actor Plays Alien from the Planet K-Pax in New Show
Hallock plays Prot, a patient at a psychiatric clinic, who claims to be a visitor to Earth.
Charlie Hallock, born and raised in Hastings, will appear as a psychiatric patient claiming to be a visitor from outer space in a play opening on June 3, 2011 at the Whippoorwill Hall in Armonk. The play, called K-Pax, was written by Gene Brewer and is based on Brewer's novel of the same name and the 2001 movie K-Pax that starred Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges. It runs from June 3 through 11.
Besides being an actor, Hallock holds a daytime job as audio/visual director with Hollywood Pop Gallery in Greenwich, CT, a concert producing company, and also works on weekends as a professional magician called The Great Charlini. Hallock began performing magic professionally at birthday parties when he was 15.
Following graduation from Hastings High School in 1996, he enrolled in the Performing Arts Program at Westchester Community College and appeared in a number of on-campus productions including the musicals Into the Woods and Murders of 1940.
