
HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, NY — A fire late Wednesday in Hastings-on-Hudson killed to pet birds and sent a pet cat to the hospital for smoke inhalation. The fire broke out around 11:30 p.m. in the garage of a two-story home at the corner of Tompkins Avenue and Broadway.

The blaze was contained to the garage and was under control in about 30 minutes.
