Here's Next Season Line-up for Live-at-the-Met-Operas-in-HD

The 2015-16 season of Live-at-the-Met-in-HD has 10 operas: 5 new productions and 1 Met Premiere. Tickets on sale this Friday, July 24th.

The 2015-2016 season of Live-at-the-Met-in-HD-at-the-Movies starts off on October 3rd. So it’s time to get those coveted tickets. Met Opera Guild members, of course, lined up days ago, as is their privilege as paying Guild members. Now it’s your turn -- you loyal opera fans all over the United States and much of the globe.

Most of you plan to get there very early, which is advisable, because these HD transmissions have become marvelously popular and tickets sell out fast.

So fast, that in selected movie venues, they have added a pleasant opportunity for additional chances for tickets. As usual, all initial live performances are scheduled on Saturday afternoons, with an encore on the followingWednesday evening. Well, now, in specially selected movie theaters, they have added an additional encore on Thursday, at matinee time. It is a very welcome addition and we here locally are lucky: The City Center Cinema in White Plains is one of those “selected” movie venues.
