'Tis the season to eat, drink and be merry! And not to worry about your makeup. Join Susan Giordano of Giordano Beauty for a holiday cocktail and shopping spree on Wednesday, December 14th, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Your hostess is a bona fide beauty expert who would love to introduce you to a host of sparkly gifts and makeup for the season.

Question: Susan, if I wanted to add some glamour to my holiday look, what should I be wearing?
For a festive look, try long-wearing liquid matte lipstick in brights or reds. And add a little twinkle to your eye with a crease proof shimmering shadow!

Question: Who would you like to see stop by your shop?
I love it when neighbors stop in to try some new colors or ask for advice on how to solve particular beauty problems. I enjoy sharing intimate knowledge of my products and how to correctly use them for the best results.

Question: You made your name as a makeup artist, but I see you’ve created artisanal skin care products as well.
We have a full range of skin care items — so even if a woman is not inclined to wear makeup, we have something for her. Skin care is something I consider non-negotiable.

I believe it’s never too early or too late to start an effective skin care routine. I have many loyal customers in their 70’s and 80’s. On the flip side, I think it’s important that young women learn about skin care and how to put themselves together. Many of my customers bring their daughters in: some of them are in the 12-13 age range and I can help them select age appropriate products; some are a little older and are ready for something a little more sophisticated.

Question: Should I send my husband in to shop for me?
Beauty is so personal, but do send him over. We have gift certificates, a full range of bath and body products, as well as fragrances --so we have something for everyone. A lot of my customers regularly shop for gifts at my store.

Question: What is the key to your success?
Every woman wants to look fresher, younger and prettier while still looking like themselves. I have always had a knack for making beauty approachable.

I think of beauty as an everyday luxury, and I am passionate about sharing my expertise to demystify it. I can show anyone how to employ a simple, realistic approach that yields sophisticated results.
