Hudson Valley Man Defends Championship on 'Jeopardy!'
The filmmaker and author previously won $100,000 on "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire."
BEACON, NY — A Hudson Valley filmmaker won the top prize on “Jeopardy!” Wednesday and will be returning to play against two new contestants Thursday.
Scot Bateman of Beacon won $28,001 on Wednesday’s show, besting returning champion Elizabeth Troyer of Charlotte, NC.
Bateman will play against Siddharth Hariharan of Herndon, VA, and Amy Ramsay of Medford, MA on the program tonight which airs at 7 p.m. on WABC-TV.

In 2014, he won $100,000 on “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire,” using $10,000 of that to finance his first live-action movie.
