Il Sorriso Announces Menus for Hudson Valley Restaurant Week


William Winstanley's Il Sorriso, an Italian restaurant in Irvington, has released its dinner and lunch menus for Hudson Valley Restaurant Week.

The menus are available every day the restaurant is open unlike many participating restaurants that have exclusions such as Friday, Saturday or both (and in some cases Sunday too) from the program. Il Sorriso is closed on Monday.

The menus apply from now to when the program ends on November 17. The restaurant is not open on Monday. The regular menu is also available.

The choices available for the $29.95 three-course dinner are:


Antipasti (choose one)

  1. ZUPPA DEL GIORNO (soup of the day)
  2. INSALATA DI RUCOLA (arugula, pear, gorgonzola and walnuts in a honey balsamic dressing)
  3. MARGHERITA PIZZA (Mozzadla cheese, tomato sauce and fresh basil)
  4. PROSCIUTTO DI PARMA (prosciutto di parma is wraped around fresh mozzarella, then grilled and served on a bed of roasted red peppers)
Entree (chose one)
  1. GNOCCHI (home made beet gnocchi in a gorgonzola cream sauce with walnuts)
  2. RAVIOLI DI FUNGHI AROMATIZZATI AL TARTUFO BIANCO (home made ravioli stuffed with mushrooms sauteed in a mushroom sauce with olive oil infused with white truffle oil)
  3. RISOTTO (risotto with sausage, red peppers and zucchini in a white wine sauce)
  4. POLLO ALLA CONTADINA (off the bone chicken sauteed with white wine, rosemary, gailic and a touch of vinegar with sausage, red pepper, onion mushroom, hot cherry pepper and roasted potato)
  5. BRANZINO (fillet of Branzino with apples, raisins and pine nuts sauteed in a pinot grigio sauce)
Dessert (chose one)
  1. APPLE STRUDEL
  2. TIRAMISI
  3. FRESH FRUIT
Cost: $29.95 per person plus tax and gratuity

  3. INSALATA DI RUCOLA (arugula, pear, gorgonzola and walnuts in a honey balsamic dressing)
  4. PEPATA DI COZZE (Prince Edward Island mussels in spicy tomato sauce served with grilled rustic bread)
  5. PROSCIUTTO DI PARMA (prosciutto di parma is wraped around fiesh mozzarella, then grilled and served on a bed of roasted red peppers)
Entree (chose one)
  1. ITALIANO PANINO (proscuitto, salami, roasted red peppers, fresh mozzarella, mixed greens and oil and vinegar (choice of French fries or mixed salad)
  2. RIGATONI ALLA CHECCA (rigatoni with fresh tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and fresh basil)
  3. GNOCCHI (home made beet gnocchi in a gorgonzola cream sauce with walnuts)
  4. POLLO RUSTICO (off the bone chicken with fresh sausage and fried potato sauteed in a rosemary, lemon and white wine sauce)
Dessert (chose one)
