Il Sorriso in Irvington is Participating in Hudson Valley Restaurant Week with Three-Course Lunches and Dinners

Prix-fixe lunch ($20.95) offered on Tuesday through Saturday; dinner ($29.95) is Is served on Tuesday through Sunday.

Il Sorriso in Irvington is participating in the spring staging of Hudson Valley Restaurant Week (HVRW) with both prix-fixe lunch and prix-fixe dinner service. Some of the 231 restaurants signed up for the program offer dinner only.

Hudson Valley Restaurant Week runs until March 20, 2016 and has 131 restaurants in Westchester County participating plus another 100 located elsewhere in the Hudson Valley neighborhood. The program is celebrating its tenth anniversary.

The HVRW three-course menus (lunch at $20.95 and dinner at $29.95) do not include tax, gratuity and beverage cost.

The regular menus at Il Sorriso are also available as an option for patrons.

Lunch antipasti (first course)

  1. ZUPPA DEL GIORNO. Soup of the day
  2. INSALATA MISTA. House mixed salad
  3. INSALATA DI SPINACI. Spinach, fennel, cherry tomato, crisp pancetta, parmigiano reggiano in a vinagrette topped with grilled chicken
  4. POLPETTINTE E FORMAGGIO. Small meatballs served on top of rustic Tuscan bread with provolone cheese
  5. PEPATA DI COZZE. Prince Edward Island mussels in spicy tomato sauce served with grilled rustic bread

Lunch entrées (second course)

  1. ITALIANO PANINO. Proscuitto, salami and dry sausage, roasted red peppers, fresh mozzarella, mixed greens and oil and vinegar (choice of French fries or mixed salad)
  2. RIGATONI ALLA CHECCA. Rigatoni with fresh tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and fresh basil
  3. SPAGHETTI ALLA BOLOGNESE. Spaghetti with a classic meat sauce
  4. POLLO RUSTICO. Off the bone chicken with fresh sausage and fried potato sauteed in a rosemary, lemon and white wine sauce
  5. SCALOPPINE DI VITELLO AL LIMONE. Veal scaloppine sauteed in white wine lemon sauce, accompanied with vegetables

Lunch dessert (third course)
The choices are apple strudel, tiramisu or ricotta cheesecake.

  3. INSALATA DI SPINACI. Spinach, fennel, cherry tomato, crisp pancetta, parmigiano reggiano in a vinagrette topped with grilled chicken
  4. POLPETTINTE E FORMAGGIO. Small meatballs served on top of rustic tuscan bread with provolone cheese
  5. PEPATA DI COZZE. Prince Edward Island mussels in spicy tomato sauce served with grilled rustic bread

Dinner entrées (second course)

  1. RAVIOLI DI FUNGHI AROMATIZZATI AL TARTUFO BIANCO. Home made ravioli stuffed with mushrooms sautéed in a mushroom sauce with olive oil infused with white truffle oil
  2. PAPPARDELLE. Home made wide ribbon pasta with shrimp in a brandy cream sauce
  3. RISOTTO. Risotto with shrimp, clams, mussels and asparagus in a white wine sauce
  4. POLLO ALLA CONTADINA. Off the bone chicken sauteed with white wine, rosemary, garlic and a touch of vinegar wlth sausage,red pepper, onion, mushroom, hot cherry pepper and roasted potato
  5. SCALOPPINE DI VITELLO AGLI ASPARAGI E CARCIOFI. Veal scaloppine with asparagus, artichokes and roasted peppers in a white wine sauce
  6. BRANZINO. Fillet of branzino with apples, raisins and pine nuts sauteed in a pinot grigio sauce

Dinner dessert (third course)
