Ardsley Internet Scammer Pleads Guilty to Grand Larceny
Soloman Jesus Nasser of Ardsley pleads guilty to stealing $191,829.22 from women he met on internet dating sites.

He may not have been in the CIA, commanded forces in Iraq or sat on the Board of Directors of Sikorsky Helicopters, but Soloman Jesus Nasser of Ardsley was truly an adept storyteller, convincing multiple women over a three-year period to loan him money for living expenses because he and ex-wife were in a contentious battle over child support.
According to a release from the Westchester County District Attorney's Office, Nasser pled guilty Thursday to stealing upwards of $191,829.22 from women he met on such dating sites as Match.com and Plentyoffish.com. The crime is classified as Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, and is a class "D" Felony.
Among his many lies, Nasser told victims he: held more than 80 patents, had held a high-level position in the Department of Defense, graduated with a Ph.D from MIT when he was 22, worked for the CIA and was a personal advisor to former president George W. Bush.

Not long after meeting women, he would describe his unfortunate financial situation and request loans--loans he never intended to repay. From one victim, Nasser reportedly stole upwards of $114,600 and another victim loaned him $24,764.51 in cash and credit card expenditures.
Investigators from the Westchester County District Attorney's office opened an investigation in April 2009 based on a complaint. Nasser will receive his sentence Oct. 27, and faces a maximum jail time of two and one third to seven years in state prison.
