The facilities director said the battery life is about one to two hours of use per charge.

IRVINGTON, NY — The use of battery-operated equipment in the Irvington school district will help with the environment. In a Facebook post, the district said it has purchased a battery-operated push lawn mower, string trimmer and leaf blower.
Director of Facilities Gary Knowles said the equipment will help cut emissions that normally come out of the gas-powered machines.
He said the run time on the new machines is about one to two hours per charge.
