“They are an impressive group of students who display a global view and community perspective in their classes through the clubs that they join, and in some cases lead, and through their social interactions with other students and staff,” Irvington High School Principal David Cohen said of the awardees.
For the first time in district history, administrators are giving out monthly Core Value Awards to students who exemplify the many character traits that have shaped the school community. The first Core Value Award in the category of Humor and Joy was given to 15 students in October. Administrators awarded 18 students in November for displaying empathy.
