Irvington HS Students Earn Medals At Science Olympiad
The Science Olympiad Club provides an opportunity for students to challenge themselves in a variety of science disciplines.

Twenty-one members of the Irvington High School Science Olympiad Club competed at the annual Lower Hudson Valley Regional Science Olympiad, held at Byram Hills High School Feb. 1. Teacher Amy Ma said she was very proud of the team.
“It is truly refreshing to see their love of science in action," she said.
The Science Olympiad Club provides an opportunity for students to challenge themselves in a variety of science disciplines and compete against other schools in both hands-on challenges and written tests, according to a spokeswoman. One of the tests challenged the students to design, construct and test free-flight, rubber-powered monoplanes or biplanes to achieve maximum time aloft, while another tasked students with cryptanalyzing and decoding encrypted messages using cryptanalysis techniques for historical and modern advanced ciphers.
