Irvington Police Arrest 18-Year-Old on Prostitution and Drug Charges
The case stemmed from an investigation into online sex-for-money postings.

An 18-year-old Irvington woman was arrested on prostitution and narcotics charges Friday night following an investigation into alleged sex-for-money posting online.
The identity of the woman has not been released, but according to police she lives on Main Street in Irvington, where the arrest took place.
She was arrested after soliciting another person to engage in sexual conduct in exchange for cash, police said. Additionally, she was also found to be in possession of a small quantity of heroin as well as hypodermic needles.

The investigation was conducted by members of the Greenburgh Drug & Alcohol Task Force and the Irvington Police Department after becoming aware of online postings for prostitution within the village.
The woman was charged with Prostitution, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree and Criminal Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument; all misdemeanors. After being arraigned in local court, she was remanded to the Westchester County Jail on $1,000 bail. Her next court date is Sept. 14.

Also arrested at the time was a 21-year-old male acquaintance, also a Main Street resident, but on separate charges. His arrest was based on a White Plains bench warrant. The original charge in that case was Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree. He was turned over to the custody of White Plains Police detectives where he was to be held for court.
