Irvington Police Say They Have Cracked The Case Of The Car Bandit

A number of incidents were reported, in which valuables were stolen from unlocked cars during the evening hours.

IRVINGTON, NY — The Irvington Police Department said they have made an arrest in connection to a string of larcenies from unlocked cars.

A number of incidents were reported recently, in which valuables were stolen from unlocked cars during the evening hours. After an investigation and with help from the community, detectives were able to identify and arrest the person believed responsible for the crimes. Gary Greene was charged with several counts of larceny, police said.

Police used the opportunity to urge residents to remain vigilant and take measures to protect their property. They provided the following tips:
