IRVINGTON, NY — Diana Cassidy, an Irvington Middle School technology teacher and Irvington High School programming/math teacher, has earned a Google Educator Level 1 certification, which demonstrates her level of mastery on the Google suite of applications. In order to obtain certification, Cassidy was required to pass a rigorous performance-based exam, which included tasks such as making calendar appointments and sharing documents.
Her certification demonstrates proficiency on the use of Google tools in the classroom and standard technology implementation skills, according to a district spokesman.
“It’s important to be a Google Certified Educator so I can help my colleagues when using G Suite products in the classroom,” Cassidy said. “I have been using these tools myself over the past couple of years and look forward to continuing to do so.”
