Irvington Schools Close Friday Due To Search For Armed Man

School opening was initially delayed but official eventually canceled all classes.

IRVINGTON, NY — Reports of an emotionally disturbed, armed man near Cyrus Field in Irvington forced Irvington schools to delay opening by two hours and then close Friday. The man was eventually taken into custody in Ardsley without incident.
