Irvington Students Inducted into National Honor Society
Community service is one of the requirements.

IRVINGTON, NY — Fifty-seven Irvington High School juniors and seniors were inducted as members of the National Honor Society during a recent ceremony.
To qualify for the honor, students are required to maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.78 or higher and exhibit outstanding qualities in the four pillars of scholarship, leadership, character and community service, a spokesman for the district said.
To be selected for membership during the inaugural year at Irvington High School, they must perform 45 hours of community service, which will increase next year to 60 hours for juniors and 90 hours for seniors.
