Irvington's Garcia Sworn in As Appeals Court Judge
He joins Westchester resident Janet DiFiore who is the chief judge.

IRVINGTON, NY - An Irvington man was sworn in Monday as a judge at New York’s Court of Appeals.
Michael Garcia is the sixth judge who Gov. Andrew Cuomo has chosen for the seven-member court, according to an Associated Press article at lohud.com.

Garcia, 54, is a Republican.
He joins former Westchester County district attorney Janet DiFiore who was appointed chief judge by Cuomo. She was officially took the office in February.
