Dobbs Ferry senior Midori Kihara had nine goals and one assist to become the first player in Dobbs Ferry’s two-year varsity program to reach the 100-point milestone in the Eagles' 20-11 win at Arsdley on May 8 as per Gina Pernicano's post on the LoHud Girls Lacrosse Blog.

Teammate Camille Rapay tallied eight saves for the Eagles while Kristen Brancucci registered six goals for the Panthers.

Fowler Gets Ribbie

Irvington's Sonya Fowler drove in a run in the Bulldogs' 16-4 loss against visiting Sleepy Hollow in six innings on May 7 according to Debbie Schechter's post on the LoHud Softball Blog.

Baseball

In the season ending double header, Greg Pezzuto (Hastings '10), left fielder for Southern New Hampshire, batted 3-4, scored 3 runs, had 1 r.b.i, and had one walk and one strikeout each in the 11-0 whitewash at Felician, with the team's final record 38-12.

Pezzuto played in 32 of the games, and finished with a batting average of .292, as he was up 85 times, scored 11 runs, had 26 hits, including 3 doubles. knocked in 11 runs, walked 4 times, fanned 16 times, had 3 steals, and was caught stealing 4 times. He had a fielding average of .957, and made 21 putouts, had 1 assist, and made 1 error at his position.

Appropriately, on the 5th, Senior Day at Pace, in the first game of two with Southern Ct., the Setters topped the Owls, 1-0, with each team having 3 hits in the fray. Senior Pace center fielder, Chris Roemer (Ardsley '07), with a teammate on base with a walk, accounted for the game's sole run, a two bagger, to account for the only and winning run. The squad opens the NE-10 championship with New Haven on the 8th.

Crew

Martha Prince (Ardsley '11) of Skidmore and her women's 4+ rowing crew finished 2nd in their race, with a time of 07.59.27, in the regatta on the 5th and 6th at Ithaca College's event at Whitney Point.

Tennis

Andy Catania (Dobbs Ferry '09) and the St. Olaf men's tennis team ended a most successful season with a record of 15-4, and 7-2 in the M.I.A.C. Conference.

The final match against nationally ranked Carleton College on the 5th, saw Catania's netter fall, 7-2, as the former Eagle lost a most hard fought singles match to his opponent, 6-3, 2-6, 10-5, after which his doubles duo was blanked, 8-0. On the season, he had a singles record of 13-3, while in doubles it was 10-5.

Softball

The season and collegiate softball career of Skidmore senior Lauren Bernstein (Masters '08) and her Thoroughbred softball nine came to an end, as they lost the season finale to Middlebury on the 1st, 8-3.

The outfielder was sidelined with an injury for the latter part of the season, but started 27 of her 28 games prior to this phase, and had a batting average of .203, with 69 at bats, scored 13 runs on 14 hits, had 3 doubles, 1 home run, 11 r.b.i.s, walked 7 times, fanned 8 times, was 4-4 in stolen bases, and had 12 putouts and 1 error in the field. The team's record was 13-24, and 2-8 in the conference.
