Leave some extra time if crossing the Ardsley Road bridge

new temporary traffic light

temporary traffic light installed at Ardsley Road bridge--leave a few minutes extra time

Only one lane --not two. The new light will make it safer for motorists crossing the bridge

Give yourself an extra few minutes if you need to cross over the Ardsley Road bridge. That bridge, which is being repaired, connects the River Villages and Ardsley to unincorporated Greenburgh and Central Ave. If you need to get to the train station tomorrow morning and usually time your arrival at the station by the seconds – leave some extra time. A temporary traffic light has been installed so there is only one wider lane with alternating traffic.. I drove over the bridge this afternoon and the light seemed to work nicely—experienced only minor delays. Had received many complaints from residents in recent weeks. Since the state is working on the 2nd half of the bridge – the other half was very narrow and unsafe for cars driving on both lanes at the same time. I appreciate the safety improvements the state is making. The bridge is anticipated to be repaired in the summer.
