Allison Schulte hasn't given up on local news. The Rivertowns Dispatch provides area residents with news and interesting features about our community.
3,200 weekly local news publications in the United States closed or merged with other papers between 2004 and 2024.The number of non-daily papers fell from over 7.4 thousand to less than 4.6 thousand in that period. Dailies also saw a decline. Locally, the Scarsdale Inquirer and Enterprise closed last year. This year the Examiner News also shut down their print operations. WVOX Radio, a local radio covering the news also shut down
Allison Schulte hasn’t given up on local news. She is the publisher of the Rivertowns Dispatch. The Rivertowns Dispatch is a new weekly news publication that serves Greenburgh villages -Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, Hastings, and Irvington.
