Maher Steps Down From Greenburgh-North Castle District

DOBBS FERRY, NY — Robert Maher, the long-time head of the Greenburgh-North Castle Union Free School District, retired Friday. He became superintendent at the special act district in 2004 and became CEO and executive director of St. Christopher’s Inc. two years later.

Maher is credited with expanding vocational programs and increasing the graduation rate during his tenure in the special needs district, lohud.com said.

He will be replaced by St. Christopher’s COO Donald Antonecchia.
