Main Street School 5th-graders Celebrate D.A.R.E. Graduation
The program was made possible through the collaboration between the District and the police department.

IRVINGTON, NY — Main Street School fifth-graders graduated from Irvington Union Free School District’s Drug Abuse Resistance Education program on Nov. 22 during a ceremony that was attended by parents, family members and teachers.
D.A.R.E. works to teach children to make healthy and responsible choices, according to a district spokesman.
During the program, which is run by Irvington police detective Erik Seman and officer John Nyarady, the students learned how to resist peer pressures, say no to drugs and alcohol and make good decisions.
