Main Street School Students Celebrate School Spirit

IRVINGTON, NY — Main Street School fourth and fifth grade students showed their school spirit pride during the annual Bulldog Day May 14. Throughout the day, the students played cooperatively in a number of teambuilding activities.
Dressed in green and white, the students were challenged to move through different stations that included relays, tug of war and obstacle courses at Memorial Field, according to a district spokesman.
“Students practiced each game during their physical education classes, placing special emphasis on how incorporating the Habits of Mind, such as managing impulsivity and taking responsible risks, can enhance their level of play,” Principal Joyce Chapnick said. “Teamwork and good sportsmanship were fostered throughout the day as students interacted with friends.”
