Her Story Mentorship is coming to Greenburgh on May 14th 5:30-7pm! Her Story Mentorship (https://www.herstorymentorship.org/) is a peer-led national organization that teamed up with the Clinton Foundation with the mission to help teens build a positive self identity through the discovery and development of purpose and intentional social media use. Recommended for 7-8 grade teens who identify as girls, non-binary, or gender expansive. The workshop will focus on reducing mental health risks exacerbated by social media use. Danielle Lobl, a Masters school junior, is researching the impact of social media activism on mental health. Her research led to her involvement in the organization, along with Adara Levey, a sophomore at the Masters school. Adara and Danielle are members of the organization's teen advisory board, and are student mentors/workshop leaders. They believe the model is extremely helpful and hope that middle schoolers will benefit as well. Following their training, they will present at Town Hall meeting at 7:30pm.
The workshop and educational materials are free but you must sign up your teen here by May 7th!
